Short paper accepted at Designing Interactive Systems 2019 conference

Hello everyone,

We are going to be presenting preliminary results from the LGBTQ Futures Project at the 2019 Association for Computing Machinery’s Designing Interactive Systems Conference (DIS 2019). Our short paper highlights the resource needs among our participants, how they differ between rural students and non-students, and how rural LGBTQ people envision the future of social technology that is designed explicitly for their needs. You can read the short paper here.

We’re looking forward to sharing what we’ve learned so far and encouraging designers and researchers to think more criticality about what rurality means for information and resource access.
